The Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) was proud to be in attendance at the 66th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), hosted by the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Chamber was represented at the highest level by its President, Alhaji Yahaya Idris — who also serves as a National Vice President of NACCIMA — accompanied by the Chamber’s Director General, Engr. Seton M. Senu, FITD. Together they joined delegates from chambers of commerce across the length and breadth of Nigeria, alongside captains of industry, policymakers, diplomats, investors, and maritime operators, for this landmark gathering of the organised private sector.

This year’s Conference, themed “The Gulf of Guinea and the Blue Economy: Pathways to Trade, Investment and Security towards a $1 Trillion Economy,” could not have been more timely or strategic. As a chamber strategically positioned on the Nigeria–Benin coastal corridor, with a keen interest in the blue economy, cross-border trade, and maritime commerce, BACCIMA found the deliberations deeply relevant to the opportunities and aspirations of the Badagry division.
The AGM marked a historic milestone, being the first time that PHCCIMA and Rivers State played host to NACCIMA’s national gathering. BACCIMA extends warm congratulations to the host chamber, PHCCIMA, under the leadership of its President, Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, for a world-class conference and for the gracious hospitality accorded to all delegates.

We also salute the National President of NACCIMA, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, and the entire national leadership for their continued stewardship of the Nigerian business community, and we commend the Rivers State Government for hosting the conference and reaffirming its commitment to the blue economy and the private sector.
BACCIMA’s participation at the AGM reflects the value our Chamber places on its membership of NACCIMA — the foremost voice of the Nigerian business community. It is an honour the Chamber holds especially dear, given that our President, Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris, serves as a National Vice President of NACCIMA, a position that places Badagry firmly within the national conversation on trade, investment, and economic policy. The presence of both the President and the Director General underscored BACCIMA’s strong commitment to active and visible participation in the national chamber movement.
The insights, resolutions, and connections gained at the Conference will further strengthen BACCIMA’s work in advancing trade facilitation, cross-border commerce, and the blue economy for the prosperity of our members and the Badagry division — particularly under the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
We commend our President, Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris, and Director General, Engr. Seton M. Senu, FITD, for representing the Chamber with distinction at this historic gathering.

BACCIMA remains resolute in her mission to be the Voice of Business and the Power of Connection for Badagry and its environs.
