Alh. Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi

Alhaji Fatai Shokunbi holds a significant place in the history of the Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) as its pioneer president. His leadership marked the Chamber’s formative period, when the institution began establishing its identity as a platform for representing the interests of businesses and promoting commercial development in Badagry. As the founding leader, he is associated with the establishment of the Chamber’s leadership tradition and its mission to support enterprise and economic growth in the area. His contribution represents the starting point of BACCIMA’s institutional journey and the foundation upon which subsequent administrations have continued to build.

Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris

Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris is a retired Deputy Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service and a graduate of History and International Relations from Lagos State University. His distinguished public-service career included customs enforcement, border operations and maritime security. During his two-year tenure as BACCIMA president, his administration strengthened the Chamber’s institutional foundations, organised its maiden trade fair in May 2026 and established the BACCIMA Cooperative Society. It also expanded engagement with border-security and trade agencies, promoted cross-border commerce, and advanced the Invest Badagry initiative to attract investment. His national role as a Vice President of NACCIMA further strengthened BACCIMA’s representation within Nigeria’s organised private sector

Mr. Ashamu Sewanu Fadipe
Mr. Ashamu Fadipe

Mr. Ashamu Sewanu Fadipe is a Badagry-born public servant, tourism professional, author and academic with extensive experience in public-sector administration and tourism development. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sociology from the University of Paris X. He served as pioneer General Manager of the Lagos State Tourism Board and later as the pioneer Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism. He also lectured at Lagos State University and founded the Slave Market Museum International in 2022. Assuming office as BACCIMA’s third president in October 2026, Fadipe has pledged to build on the Chamber’s existing foundations, deepen business advocacy, attract investment, and strengthen cross-border trade.
