The Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, in collaboration with Pure Consult Ltd., organized a highly successful workshop on Occupational Health and Safety on July 21, 2024, at FAMS Embassy Suites. This workshop attracted over 70 participants, including staff members from FAMS Embassy Suites, Matta Garden Hotel, Smark Mini Mall, Motiz Gas, and other notable organizations.
The workshop was led by the Managing Director of Pure Consult Ltd. Mr. S.O Carew, who served as the lead facilitator and instructor. Known for his expertise and practical approach, the Managing Director ensured that the workshop was engaging and hands-on, providing participants with practical skills that are crucial in real-life emergency situations.
The topics covered during the workshop were comprehensive and tailored to address common safety issues in various workplace environments. Key subjects included:
1. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Participants learned the critical steps of performing CPR, an essential lifesaving technique used during cardiac emergencies.
2. Choking Assistance: The workshop provided clear instructions on how to help a choking victim, a common and potentially fatal situation in many environments.
3. Food Safety: Important guidelines and best practices were shared to ensure food is handled, prepared, and stored safely, minimizing the risk of foodborne illnesses.
