BACCIMA President Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi, visits His Royal Majesty, Aholu Saheed Sedonu Adamson, The Aholu of Ajido Kingdom, Badagry.

The President and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (BACCIMA), Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi, paid a courtesy visit today to His Royal Majesty, Aholu Saheed Sedonu Adamson, The Aholu of Ajido Kingdom, Badagry. The visit was to express profound gratitude for His Royal Majesty's generous donations and invaluable contributions to the success of the Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Badagry Chamber of Commerce, held on June 28, 2024, at the Badagry Theatre. During this significant event, His Royal Majesty was also inaugurated as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Chamber.

Alhaji Shokunbi commended His Royal Majesty for his unwavering support and dedication, which were instrumental in the success of the Chamber's Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting. This event, a cornerstone for the Chamber, attracted prominent industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders, fostering discussions on the future of commerce and industry in Badagry. The remarkable success of the conference was largely attributed to the collaborative efforts and substantial contributions from esteemed figures like His Royal Majesty.

In his response, His Royal Majesty, Aholu Saheed Sedonu Adamson, expressed his happiness with the progress facilitated by BACCIMA. He emphasized that with the Chamber's efforts, the people of Badagry are shedding their old image as smugglers and embracing new opportunities for legitimate and prosperous economic activities. His Royal Majesty outlined several proposed collaborations, including a significant project with Folawiyo Petroleum and its partners to develop the largest LPG Gas project in Ajido, Badagry, set to commence in September this year. This project is expected to be a game-changer for the local economy, creating jobs and promoting sustainable development.

Additionally, His Royal Majesty spoke about the establishment of a refinery in Ajido, highlighting the area's potential for industrial growth. He stressed the importance of these developments in enhancing the region's economic landscape and providing new opportunities for its residents. Furthermore, he proudly noted that Ajido is rich in cultural heritage, which offers unique prospects for cultural tourism and preservation, complementing the economic initiatives.
