The President/Chairman Executive Council Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi lead BACCIMA delegation on official visit to the office of the newly deployed Comptrollers of Nigeria Immigration Service, Seme Border Command, Comptroller DT Audu and Lagos State Border Patrol, Comptroller CPP Obua on Tuesday 4th April 2023.
The main aim of the visit is the implementation of the Small-Scale Informal Cross-Border Trade Project which is very key to the improvement in the ease of doing business in the Badagry region.
The key component of the implementation will be the issuance of Bio-metric Identity card to every registered trader under the scheme championed by the Badagry Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA).
The lead Consultant for the project Dr. Willie Eselebor itemized the progress made so far and what is left to be done.
The President/Chairman Executive Council assured the Nigeria Immigration Service that BACCIMA will ensure that the project is properly monitored when implemented for sustainability and accountability to every main stakeholders.
The Director-General Mr. Emmanuel Essien, called for a synergy by all relevant stakeholders in the implementation of the project.
