The Joint Consultative & Dialogue Meeting was held on the 20th of October 2022 at Fams Embassy Suites, Ibereko, Badagry, Lagos State.
The meeting which is aimed at the transformation of the ICBT (Informal cross - border Trade) to FCBT (Formal cross - border Traders) was attended by His Excellency, Olukayode Aluko Ambassador to the Benin Republic, Alhaji Fatai Sokunbi (President of BACCIMA), Traditional Rulers, All Border security Management Agencies, Small Scale Cross Border Traders, Transporters, Financial Institutions, UBA Representatives, and the Consultant, Dr. Willie Eselebor.
Others are the representative of the Badagry Local Government, Badagry West, the representative of His Royal Majesty, De Wheno Aholu Menu Toyi I, Akran of Badagry Kingdom, Nigeria Customs Service, Port Health Service, and Department of the State Service, Cross Country Limited, NIDO and other Participants.
Dr. Willie Eselebor Recognized the Presence of the dignities and all participants present at the Meeting. He calls on The Director General of BACCIMA to introduce the officials of BACCIMA.
Mr. Emmanuel (Director-General of BACCIMA) Appreciates the Presence of the President of BACCIMA, the first Deputy President, 2nd Deputy President, and other BACCIMA Officials.
The Welcome address was given by the President of BACCIMA who stated in his speech that the Meeting is to mitigate government revenue loss as the private sector for formal cross-border trade. He furthered by saying everyone present has been invited to deliberate in cooperation for the achievements of the initiation.
