BACCIMA President Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi, visit His Royal Majesty, Oba Galib Adeniyi-Rufai, Adeife 1, The Olojo of Ojo Kingdom

On the 6th of August 2024, the President and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (BACCIMA), Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Galib Adeniyi-Rufai, Adeife 1, The Olojo of Ojo Kingdom. This visit was part of a series of thank-you visits to the Royal Fathers who serve on the Board of Trustees of the Chamber. The purpose of these visits was to express BACCIMA’s deep appreciation for the support and guidance provided by these revered traditional leaders in driving the economic and social transformation of the Badagry Division of Lagos State.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Galib Adeniyi-Rufai, Adeife 1, warmly received the BACCIMA delegation, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration between traditional institutions and modern business entities. The Olojo of Ojo Kingdom commended BACCIMA for its outstanding efforts in fostering economic growth and development in the region. He acknowledged the Chamber's pivotal role in transforming the Badagry Division into a thriving economic hub, contributing significantly to the well-being of the people.

During the visit, Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi reiterated BACCIMA's commitment to working closely with the Royal Fathers to ensure that the Chamber's initiatives align with the cultural and socio-economic aspirations of the local communities. He expressed his gratitude to Oba Galib Adeniyi-Rufai for his unwavering support during the AGM, which was instrumental in the Chamber’s achievement. The BACCIMA delegation that accompanied Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi to the palace included several key figures from the Chamber. Among them were Mr. Emmanuel Essien, the Director-General of BACCIMA, who has been at the forefront of the Chamber’s operations and strategic planning; Ms. Bukola Agemo, the Director for Government Affairs, who plays a vital role in liaising with government bodies and ensuring that the Chamber’s activities are in sync with governmental policies; Ambassador Nicky Maxwell, the Pioneer Women Leader, who has been instrumental in championing the cause of women entrepreneurs within the Chamber; and Mr. Ayodele Nunayon Goboze, whose expertise and experience have greatly contributed to the Chamber’s success.
