The Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) was proud to be in attendance at the China–Nigeria Investment Summit, held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Building, Victoria Island, Lagos.
BACCIMA was ably represented by Mrs. Ngozi Modebelu, SDP, who stood in for the President of BACCIMA, Alhaji Yahaya Idris, accompanied by Madam Mary. The Chamber’s cooperative arm, the BACCIMA Cooperative Society, was also well represented by Prince Nwigbo and Chief Eugene — a reflection of the broad and inclusive interest across both the Chamber and its cooperative in the opportunities that closer China–Nigeria ties present.
The Summit proved to be a most interesting and productive demonstration of collaboration between China and Nigeria. It brought together businesses, investors, and institutions from both nations to explore avenues for trade, investment, technology transfer, and partnership across key sectors of the economy. China remains one of Nigeria’s foremost trading partners, and gatherings of this nature continue to deepen the commercial and diplomatic bonds between the two countries.
For BACCIMA — strategically positioned on the Nigeria–Benin corridor and committed to connecting its members with global opportunities — such summits are of immense value. They open doors for our entrepreneurs, SMEs, and cooperative members to engage directly with international investors, access new markets and technologies, and position the Badagry division within the larger story of Nigeria’s economic growth and global trade integration.

The participation of the BACCIMA Cooperative Society is especially significant, underscoring the Chamber’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of international collaboration reach beyond individual enterprises to the cooperative networks that empower so many of our members at the grassroots.
The Chamber extends its appreciation to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the organisers of the Summit for hosting such a significant gathering, and for the opportunity to be part of this important conversation on China–Nigeria economic cooperation.
We commend Mrs. Ngozi Modebelu (Second Deputy President), Madam Mary, Prince Nwigbo, and Chief Eugene for representing the interests of the Badagry business community with distinction, and we look forward to translating the connections and insights gained into tangible opportunities for our members.

BACCIMA remains resolute in her mission to be the Voice of Business and the Power of Connection for Badagry and its environs.
