On the occasion of the handover to the new Badagry Cooperative Area Officer at the Badagry Local Government, the Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture President(BACCIMA) Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris paid a courtesy visit to the office.
The former Area Officer, Mrs. Uche Obi, formally introduced the BACCIMA President to the newly appointed Area Officer, Mrs. Akin-Bojomo at the occasion, marking the commencement of a cordial working relationship between both parties.
In his remarks, the President praised the outgoing officer for her dedication to duty and spirit of collective responsibility.
He posited that Mrs Uche Obi was always ready to assist the cooperators at anytime the occasion demands.
He used the opportunity to wish her a successful tenure in her new posting.
Alhaji Yahaya gave a brief overview of the Chamber and its objectives amongst advocacy for the interest of members and broader business community in Badagry division and beyond, to promote favourable growth of commerce, trade and industry, organize capacity building among others. The President enjoyed Mrs. Akin-Bojomo to build on the achievements of her predecessor and elevate the Cooperative standing during her tenure, while also requesting her cooperation in providing necessary information to the Chamber as and when required.
He further encouraged both the outgoing and incoming Area Officers to join the Chamber and to actively participate in the activities of the Chamber.
A copy of the Chamber’s brochure was formally presented to her for ease of reference.
The visit was also graced by the President of the Badagry Multi-Purpose Cooperative Union (BMCU), Mr. Elijah Ogungbe, who joined the delegation during the proceedings.
Mrs. Akin-Bojomo expressed her sincere appreciation and commended the Chamber’s commitment to fostering strong institutional relationships and assured of her readiness to collaborate with BACCIMA in advancing the shared interests of the cooperative and business community in Badagry. She expressed her happiness for the visit and praised the President for the presentation of BACCIMA brochure.
