His Royal Majesty, Oba
(Dr.) Oladele Friday Kosoko, JP, FHRM, Ogundeyi II, Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom,
Badagry, today hosted members of the Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry,
Mines, and Agriculture (BACCIMA). The delegation was led by the Second Deputy
President, Mr. Sewanu Fadipe, and included Hon. Jacob Kentomahun, Member of the
Elders Advisory Council, Mr. Emmanuel Essien, the Director-General, and other
distinguished members.
The meeting began on a somber note with a minute of silence for the departed Olori, Christianah Atinuke Adeleye Kosoko. The Chamber extended their condolences and prayed that His Royal Majesty would have the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Following this, discussions focused on the upcoming 1st Annual General Meeting, the inauguration of the Board of Trustees, and the overall well-being of the Chamber. His Royal Majesty graciously received the visiting team and engaged in fruitful discussions, expressing his delight at the Chamber's development and advocacy efforts. He pledged his total support and commitment to contributing to the Chamber's progress.
His Royal Majesty noted that the great work achieved by the Chamber would be built upon by the Board of Trustees and assured that he would be well-prepared before the AGM. He emphasized his intention to attract credible individuals to the Chamber and leverage his wealth of knowledge to contribute to the growth of the Badagry nation. He also expressed his disdain for sentiments, emphasizing his commitment to giving credit where it is due.
The visit marks a significant step in strengthening the relationship between the Chamber and the Iworo Kingdom, paving the way for future collaborations and community development.
