Introduction & Induction of New Executive Council Corporate Members

The Badagry Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) at its second quarter Executive Council and General meetings inducted corporate members into the Executive Council which is the highest decision-making organ of the Chamber on the 15th of April 2023. The Chamber also introduced the Corporates to the general assembly held on the 16th of April 2023 at FAM Embassy Suites, Ibereko, Badagry.


The President/Chairman of the Executive Council while inaugurating the new members into the Executive Council informed them that BACCIMA is today, one of the most active City-Chambers in Nigeria. He also stated that he is an elected Ex-Officio member of NACCIMA, the national Chambers council, and looking forward to being nominated and elected as the National Vice President of NACCIMA at the second quarter NACCIMA Conference scheduled for 7th and 8th of June 2023 at Ekiti, Ekiti State.


He further expressed that in the last five (5) years, BACCIMA has strengthened its goals of improving the business climate in Badagry, promoting mutual coexistence by all stakeholders in mediation and advocacy, as well as promoting business ideals devoid of illegal activities injurious to the national economic wellbeing.


"Our solid relationship with the stakeholders is yielding the desired dividends that include, the Proposed Establishment of the Nigeria-Benin Joint Commission (NBJC) and the Small-Scale Informal Cross-Border Trade (SSICBT)" he further stated.


"We have also stepped up our quest to establish institutional relationships which have attracted notable organizations like the ASCON, The Guardian Newspaper, etc." he added. He asked the new corporate members of the Chamber to join hands with him to build a prosperous future for our people and to build a Chamber we can all be proud of. History, he said, will be kind to you all as we take this very progressive step in redefining trade in our region.


Mrs. Felicia Adebayo of Badagry Port Development Limited gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the inductees and appreciated BACCIMA, for the privilege given to them to be part of the highest decision-making organ of the Chamber, to work collaboratively to develop Badagry and beyond. She encouraged all other nominees to be actively involved in the development process to ensure the Chamber promotes the business communities in the Badagry region. She highlighted the impact and effort of BACCIMA at ensuring that the Badagry Deep Sea Port gets approval and added that she was honored to be involved in the process to change the narrative of trade in the region. All other representatives and executives present gave a round of applause for her vote of thanks.


The Director-General Mr. Emmanuel Essien welcomed them into the Executive Council and called for their cooperation.
