Members of the Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) recently participated in the NAHCO/NACCIMA SME Exporters Forum, organised by the NACCIMA Export Group in collaboration with the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) and Polaris Bank.

The Forum brought together small and medium-scale exporters, trade facilitators, financial institutions, and key regulatory agencies involved in Nigeria’s export ecosystem, with a focus on improving export readiness, logistics efficiency, access to finance, and compliance with international trade requirements.

The NACCIMA Export Group, led by Barrister Kola Awe, provided strategic leadership for the programme, emphasizing the need for structured export processes, value addition, and stronger collaboration across the export value chain to boost Nigeria’s non-oil export performance.

The event also recorded the presence of the Director-General of NACCIMA, Engr Sola Obadimu, alongside representatives of relevant government agencies and institutions involved in export promotion, regulation, and facilitation. Their participation offered participants valuable insights into policy direction, regulatory requirements, and available institutional support for exporters.

BACCIMA members actively participated in the discussions, reinforcing the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to preparing its members for regional and international markets. This engagement also aligns with preparations for the forthcoming BACCIMA International Trade Fair, scheduled to hold from May 8–17, 2026, under the theme “Trading Without Borders: Empowering Businesses for Regional and Global Markets.” The Trade Fair is expected to serve as a major platform for connecting businesses to export opportunities, investors, and cross-border trade partners.

The Chamber commends NACCIMA, NAHCO, Polaris Bank, and all participating agencies for organising a timely and impactful forum that supports SME exporters and strengthens Nigeria’s export ecosystem.

BACCIMA remains committed to promoting export competitiveness, trade facilitation, and sustainable economic growth for its members and the wider business community.
