BADAGRY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (BACCIMA) PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO LAGOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (LCCI)

The Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA), led by the President, Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris paid a strategic courtesy visit to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) as part of its ongoing engagement with key institutional stakeholders ahead of her maiden Tradefair.
On arrival, the delegation was warmly received by the LCCI President Engr Leye Kupoluyi who expressed appreciation for the visit and welcomed the team in a spirit of collaboration and mutual institutional respect.
In his address,the President of BACCIMA, Yahaya Idris praised LCCI for been in the forefront of Chamber movements in Nigeria, and more importantly, had been hosting trade fairs for some decades without interruptions.
He posited that “BACCIMA is here to learn from your wealth of experience in Chambers’ trade fair plannings and organization”; and hat the primary purpose of the visit was to formally notify LCCI of BACCIMA’s forthcoming Trade Fair scheduled to hold from May 8th to May 10th, 2026.
The President outlined the vision and objectives of the Trade Fair, emphasizing its role in:
- Promoting local enterprise and cross-border trade
- Strengthening private sector participation
- Expanding economic opportunities within Badagry and its environs
- Encouraging partnerships that enhance regional commercial growth
The delegation further seek strategic partnership and institutional collaboration with LCCI.
BACCIMA President, used the occasion to congratulate Engr Kupoluyi on his recent election as the President of LCCI and pray for greater heights during his tenure as the President.
Likewise, Yahaya commended his predecessor, Chief Gabriel Idahosa for the great work done during his tenure as the President of LCCI.
In his response, the LCCI President, Engr. Leye kupoluyi commended BACCIMA for its proactive engagement and developmental efforts.
He expressed LCCI readiness to support the initiative and encouraged BACCIMA to reach out formally in areas where collaboration and support would be required.
He posited that he had been hearing about the trade fair since last year and very happy with the coming of BACCIMA to seek for guidance and cooperation.

As a mark of goodwill and institutional solidarity, LCCI presented an award to the Chamber, which was warmly received by the President, Alhaji Yahaya Oladiran Idris, on behalf of BACCIMA.
The visit concluded with a group photograph session, symbolizing strengthened ties and a shared commitment to advancing commerce and industry within Lagos State and beyond.
